Compound eyes are found in arthropods.

The best example is cockroach.

Compound eyes contains a number of omatids.

Omatids are minute sensory units that are sensitive to light.

Due to the presence of more than 1 omatids(more than thousand) in each eye , the cockroach eyes makes a more than 1 picture of any object.

These eyes thus make hazy pictures.
