Hello Mate!
■ Connective Tissues - By name only, we get that connective tissues are the tissues which connect different parts if our body.
● Areolar or loose connective tissue =
1. These tissues bind skin with muscle, nerves and blood vessels to body parts.
2. They help in healing of wounds when tissue get damage.
3. They help in fighting foreign materials and antigens.
4. They fill gap between tissues and organs.
5. They facilitates rapid diffusion of gases into body.
Importance : This tissue connects skin with muscle and fills gap between tissue an oragans.
Absence = All above function will stop.
● Dense Connective tissue =
♢ Tendon : They are tough and no elastic in nature, fibroplast is arranged in rows of white bundles and composed of white collagen fibres. Function - To joing bone to muscle.
♢ Ligament : They are strong but elastic, fibroplast is scattered in matrix and composed of yellow elastin fibres. Function - Join bone to bone and prevent smooth contraction and relaxation.
Absence = Bones will scatter and will not remains arranged.
● Adipose Tissue - They are fat globules containing adepocytes and have functions like
1. Adipose tissue acts as food reservoir of fat for producing energy at critical conditions.
2. They act as shock absorbing cution.
3. The hump of camel and blubber of whale are formed of adipocytes.
Absence = Oraganism may die when get no food.
● Fluid connective tissue =
♢ Blood
♧ Corpuscles - ♤ WBC ♤ RBC ♤ PLatelates
♧ Plasma
♢ Lymph
Function : 1. Blood contain mainly plasma therefore connects every part of body.
2. They fight against foreign bodies, produce antibodies.
3. They help in transportation of CO2 and O2 to different parts of body.
4. Platelates are coagulant which are present in blood and helps in clotting of blood in wound.
5. Lymph also helps in keeping tissues moist and produe lymphocytes.
Absence = All above functions will stock.
● Hard Connective Tissue =
♢ Cartilage :
1. Smoothens surface of bone.
2. They are present in nose tips, present in joints for smooth movement.
♢ Bone :
1. Provide shape and support to to body.
2. Protect vital organs of body.
3. Bone contain bone marrow which is center of RBC production.
Absence = No shape, protection and support will be there to body and body will not be able to stand / survive.
Have great future ahead!
