algebra is a branch of mathematics that uses letters to represent numbers. Usually the letters are known as variables, since they are unknown and can change. some letters can be designated as constants since there value remain constant

Variable : A variable is denoted by a Letter of English alphabet and that can take any value .

  • Example : x, y, a, b, z, c, etc

Constant : The Values of constant remain same throughout the Situation i.e value of constant doesn't change in a problem

  • Example : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc
