What are consumers rights? And problem faced by consumer to file a case??

In today’s world where awareness of consumer rights is spreading rapidly, people are facing problems in filing a complaint in the consumer forum to get justice. Consumers sometimes feel hassled at the thought of escalating their complaints before the Consumer Courts mainly due to misconception and lack of awareness regarding the processes and documentary requirements involved. Needless anxiety regarding the extent of legal paperwork and need, to commit time and resources to pursue a complaint can also be so overpowering that some people lose the will to take the initially required steps for approaching a Consumer Court

Consumer rights are the rights provided to the people of our country..which are provided to us to avid exploitation at the market places...
these are as under..
1) Right to information....this mentions that we can ask for MRP...BATCH NO...EXPIRY DATE..etc. this is our right..
2) Right to Choose... It means that we can choose anything we want from the market...no one can enforce us
3) Right To seek redressal...any default or loss suffered by the consumers can be sought for redressal..we can ask for replacement or compensation.

Consumer Forums and Consumer Courts are there for consumer welfare..
