Declining pH of rainwater means that it becomes acidic. the main cause or rainwater being acidic is the release of harmful oxides of sulphur and nitrogen. Hence the major controlling factor is to reduce the pollution coming from vehicles and industries and ultimately to stop the emissions of poisonous gases.
