Convergent boundaries- It refers to region, when tow plates move closer towards each other which may either result in a collision or may cause one to slide under the other plate. Thus, plates moving towards each other due to friction, pressure may either result in earthquake .
And Divergent boundary- It refers to a linear activity whereby tectonic plates move away from each other. as they drift apart they may create a gap. Such a phenomenon may result in volcanic eruptions or also creation of rift valleys.
