Corals are marine invertebrates. They belong to class Anthozoa of phylum Cnidaria. They usually live in colonies. Coral island is a type of island formed from coral detritus. They occur in tropical and sub-tropical areas. Coral island is situated 10km south of Phuket.  As the island is covered by various corals, therefore, it is called as Coral Island.
