Cranial nerves are the nerves that emerge directly from the brain (including the brainstem), in contrast to spinal nerves (which emerge from segments of the spinal cord). ... The cranial nerves, however, emerge from the central nervous system above this level. Each cranial nerve is paired and is present on both sides.

Hey Prabh:)

Cranial nerves are each of the twelve pairs of nerves which arise directly from the brain, not from the spinal cord, and pass through separate apertures in the skull.

Spinal nerves are mixed nerves, which carries motor, sensory, and autonomic signals between the spinal cord and the body. In the human body there are 31 pairs of spinal nerves, one on each side of the vertebral column. The spinal nerves are part of the peripheral nervous system.

Keep smiling:)
