A party that secure at least six percent of the total vote in Lok Sabha election or assembly election in four state and win at least 4 seats in the Lok Sabha is recognised as a national party.

The criterias for becoming a national party are:

1. If any political party will win 2% seat of Lok Sabha at 3 different states.

2. In general election of Lok Sabha or legislative assembly. The party polls 6% votes of four states in including to four Lok Sabha seats.

3. A recognised National Party must be state party in four states.
