decomposers are organisms which feed on dead and decaying organisms or matter .they maintain the ecological balance of our ecosystem.if they extinct ,the whole life processes may break up .the cycle of nature will be unbalanced .imagine if anything dies but there is no any decomposer then how will the matter will be decomposed ?this will cause harm to any other organism.it will also may lead to a major disease.

Answer:

Organisms which decompose the dead remains of plants and animals are called decomposers. Bacteria and fungi play the role of decomposers. Decomposers break down the complex organic substances of garbage, dead animals and plants into simpler inorganic substances that go into the soil and are used up again by the plants. In the absence of decomposers recycling of material in the biosphere will not take place which would lead to accumulation of dead plants and animals in the environment. Additionally, the environment would be finally sapped of all its resources which are needed to maintain and sustain life.
