-Increase in pollution: due to the large numbers and increased use of vehicles and other machines.
-Strain on the limited resources: this leads to an increased cost in the resources such as land and water in the cities and towns.
-Low production and high demand: this leads to an increase in the cost of commodities such as food and water.
-Strain on infrastructure such as housing, schools, roads and healthcare. This leads to such problems as rise in the cost of housing(which leads to development of slums) and congested roads.
-Increased unemployment levels: due to the ever increasing numbers in population without a corresponding amount in the creation of jobs, unemployment rates surges in overpopulated towns and cities.
-Decrease in the standards of the living conditions: This is a problem caused by the effects of lack of employment and increased cost of goods and services.
Increase in the rates of crime: as a result of the increased unemployment and the increased cost of living.
