what are depiretion of ozone layer? what are the consicuencies of it and how it can be prevented?

depletion of ozone layer is major problem all around the globe.ozone as we know it is a layer present in the atmosphere which prevents us from uv rays.but today in many parts of the world ozone is getting destroyed like on the poles and slightly in some parts of Russia. we can prevent it by many measures like eg.by reducing the usage rate of fossil fuels and using alternative sources of energy like solar energy, wind energy,hydropower energy etc.also by planting as many plants as we can.....
