Derived units are units that can be expressed in terms of fundamental units with the help of mathematical symbols of multiplication or division.

For example :-

1.) SI Unit of Volume is m^3

m^3 can be written as m × m ×m, where metre is a fundamental unit.

2.) SI Unit of density is kg/m^3

kg / m^3 can be written as [ kg / m × m × m], where kg and m are fundamental units.
