LIBERALS

➡️Liberals wanted a nation which supported all religions.

➡️They opposed the uncontrolled power of dynastic rulers.

➡️They wanted to safeguard the rights of individual against governments.

➡️They argued for a representative, elected parliamentary government subject to laws interpreted by a well- trained Judiciary that was independent of rulers and officials.

➡️They did not believe in Universal adult franchise. they wanted the right to vote to be limited to men who owned property.

RADICALS

➡️They wanted a government which was based on the majority of a country's population, that is, they pleaded for Universal adult franchise including vote for women also.

➡️They opposed the privileges of great land owners and wealthy factory owners.

➡️They were not against the existence of private property, but disliked concentration of property in the hands of a few.
