What are different between aerobic and anaerobic?

in that respiration oxygen is involved is called aerobic respiration. in that respiration oxygen is not involved is called anaerobic respiration

aerobic bacteria thrive on oxygen e.g.Mycobacterium tuberculosis ( causes TB)
anaerobic bacteria do not need oxygen to sustain themselves..they can use sulfur and other chemicals....e.g.Clostridium ( causes diarrhea ):)
