- a)Direct contact- it can be spread form one person to another person through direct contact like touching, kissing, coughing, sneezing etc.
- b)Indirect contact- spreading by touching through inanimate objects called fomites like toy, bag, money, cup, door etc.
- c)air born transmission- spreading through inhalation of air contaminated with air born microbes For example tuberculosis. Microbes get into air from sneezing, coughing of infected persons.

- f)through vector- Disease that result from infection transmitted to humans by blood feeding arthropods. For example malaria is caused by female anopheles mosquito.
