Types of asexual reproduction in plants:

1) Vegetative propagation: New plants are produced from roots, stems, leaves and buds.

2) Budding: The small bulb-like projection comes out and gradually grows then gets detached from the parent cell to make a new individual.

3) Fragmentation: Plant such as algae breaks into two or more parts, these part develops into new plant.

4)Spore formation: Spore which are asexual reproductive body germinates and grow into new individual

In animals:

1) Fission:The organism divide into two organisms or multiple organisms.

2) Budding: Bud like growth occurs in body which develops and detached from parents to grow into new organism.

Asexual Reproduction- The production of new organism from a single parent without the involvement of sex cells is called asexual reproduction.

There are six different types of asexual reproduction-

1. Fission

2. Budding

3. Spore formation

4. Regeneration

5. Fragmentation

6. Vegetative propagation.

1. Fission- The type of asexual reproduction in which a unicellular organism divides to form two or more new organisms.

There are two types of fission :-

1. Binary fission - In binary fission, the parent organism splits to form two new organisms.

2. Multiple fission - In multiple fission, the parent organism splits to form many new organisms at the same time.

2. Budding- The type of asexual reproduction in which, a small part of the body of the parent organism grows out as a 'bud' which then detaches and become a new organism is called budding.

3. Spore Formation- the parent plant produced hundreds of microscopic reproductive units called 'spores' is called spore formation.

4. Regeneration- The process of getting back a full organism from its body parts is called regeneration.

5. Fragmentation- The breaking up of the body of a simple multicellular organism into two (or more) , each of which subsequently grows to form a complete new organism is called fragmentation.

6. Vegetative Propagation- In vegetative propagation, new plants are obtained from the parts of old plants (like stems, roots and leaves) without the help of any reproductive organs.

Hope it helps............
