Explanation:

DIMENSIONS:

all the physical quantities of interest can be derived from the base quantities. when a quantity is expressed in terms of the base quantities it is written as a product of different powers of the base quantities. the exponent of a base quantity that enters into the expression is called the dimension of the quantity in that base.

LIMITATIONS OF DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS:

ALL THE DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS IS VERY USEFUL IN REDUCING CERTAIN RELATIONS IT CANNOT LEAD US TOO FAR. first of all we have to know the quantities on which a particular physical. even then the method works only the dependence is of the product type. secondly the numerical constants have no dimensions cannot be deduced by the method of dimensions. thirdly the method works only if there are as many questions are available as there are. in mechanical quantities only 3 Base quantities length mass and time enter. so dimensions of these three may be created in the guest relation giving at most 3 equations in the exponents.

hope it works..
