What are disadvantages by old age homes

I feel that there is one disadvantage of old age homes .

The grown up children are allowed to dump their parents into an old age home instead of keeping and taking care of them.

BY old age homes the disadvantages are:-

*many people leave their parents to old age home it leads to loneliness and loss of contact with neighbors and old friends

*the atmosphere in old age home is impersonal

*there is lack of privacy
