displacement reaction is a chemical reaction in which a more reactive element displaces less reactive element from its compound ..

example --Reaction of iron nails with copper sulphate solution.
Fe + CuSo4 → FeSo4 + Cu

devankoberoi2003: F and C must be capital,in chemical equations atleat write it correctly, or else question asker will learn wrong thing

The reaction where a metal of higher activity series displaces a metal of lower activity series of other compound is known as displacement reaction.
FOR EXAMPLE.....
Fe + CuSO4 ----> FeSO4+ Cu......

devankoberoi2003: Why is there a ..... after Cu? What does this indicate?
