the use lenz law which states that the induced current will be in such a way or direction to oppose the motion producing it. so the direction of the current will try and decrease the magnetic flux through the loop . and eddy currents are a localized electric current induced in conductor by a varying magnetic field .

Eddy currents are loops of electrical current induced within conductors by a changing magnetic field in the conductor according to Faraday's law of induction. Eddy currents flow in closed loops within conductors, in planes perpendicular to the magnetic field.
