hi,
The hormone that dominates femaledevelopment is an estrogen called estradiol. While estradiol promotes growth of the breasts and uterus, it is also the principal hormone driving the pubertal growth spurt and epiphyseal maturation and closure. Estradiol levels rise earlier and reach higher levels in women than in men.

The various changes which occur in the boys at puberty are:
•Hair growth in the armpits, pubic areas, chest and face
•Body becomes muscular
•The voice deepens
•Chest and Shoulders broaden
•Reproductive becomes large and start producing male gametes(sperms)
•Sexual drive associated with adulthood begins
All these changes in boys are brought by male sex hormones 'testosterone' made in testes

The various changes which occur in girls at puberty are:
•Hair grows under armpits and pubic region
•Mammary glands(breasts) develops and enlarges
•Extra fats is deposited in hips and thighs
•Female reproductive system enlarges and ovaries start to release eggs
•Menstruation starts
•Sexual drive begin to develop
These changes are brought by female sex hormones 'estrogen' and 'progesterone'

Hope it helps!!
