Ans: In general ,an electrolyte is a non metal which carries current by the movement of ions. These are very important because electrolytes are what carry signals through our neurons. It is the motion of Potassium and Sodium ions that transmits signals to and from your brain.

Electrolytes are the ionized or ionizable constituents of a living cell, blood or organic matter. There are two types of electrolyte
1) strong electrolyte - that dissociates completely. Example - H2SO4, HCL, KCl
2)weak electrolyte--that doesn't dissociate completely Example - H2CO3, NH4OH, CH3COOH
1) strong electrolyte - that dissociates completely. Example - H2SO4, HCL, KCl
