Answer:

Electrolytes are salts or molecules that ionize completely in solution. As a result, electrolyte solutions readily conduct electricity. Nonelectrolytes do not dissociate into ions in solution; nonelectrolyte solutions do not, therefore, conduct electricity

Answer:

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a technique that uses a direct electric current (DC) to drive an otherwise non-spontaneous chemical reaction. Electrolysis is commercially important as a stage in the separation of elements from naturally occurring sources such as ores using an electrolytic cell.

For Example

(breakdown) of water into hydrogen and oxygen by means of an electric current. Sodium, chlorine, magnesium, and aluminum.

Non Electrolysis

Non Electrolyte is a substance that does not exist in an ionic form in aqueous solution. Nonelectrolytes tend to be poor electrical conductors and don't readily dissociate into ions when melted or dissolved. Solutions of nonelectrolytes do not conduct electricity.

For Example

  1. Substances, which do not ionize in aqueous solution into positive and negative ions and hence do not conduct electricity.
  2. Urea, Benzene, Sugar, Ethanol, Chloroform , ether etc.
