what are enzymes? Define with their functions.​

Enzymes are protein molecules in cells which helps in biochemical reaction. It speed up chemical reactions in the body.

There are many enzymes in our body and every enzymes has its own function some of them are

• protease enzymes helps in break down proteins into amino acids.

• break down starch into sugar. this is performed by amylase and other carbohydrase enzymes

• lipase enzymes helps in break down lipids (fats and oils) into fatty acids and glycerol.

they are both protein and biological catalyst...

they help in various functions of the the body like 1) transferases

3) ligases
