Question: What are enzymes ?

Answer : Enzymes are biological catalysts that increase the rate of chemical reactions without being used up. Enzymes are also proteins that are folded into complex shapes that allow smaller molecules to fit into them. Amylases split carbohydrates such as starch and sugars into simple sugars such as glucose.

Its parts and functions :

1.Trypsin is an engyme present in human digestive system. It is secreted by pancreas and its function is to break down protein.

2. Enzymes are known to catalyze more than 5,000 biochemical reaction types. Most enzymes are proteins, although a few are catalytic RNA molecules. The latter are called ribozymes. Enzymes' specificity comes from their unique three-dimensional structures.
