hey here is ur answer

Macronutrients are elements which plants require in relatively large amounts where micronutrients are those which plants require in much smaller amounts.

A combination of macronutrients and micronutrients give the soil its optimum health.

The essential macronutrients needed by the soil are:

Nitrogen

Phosphorous

Potassium

Sulfur

Calcium

Magnesium

The essential micronutrients are:

Chlorine

Iron

Boron

Manganese

Zinc

Copper

Molybdenum

I hope this helps you

Dear Students,

◆ Macronutrients -

  • Nutrients which are required in large amounts for plant growth & function are called macronutreints.
  • e.g. oxygen, nitrogen, potassium, magnesium, carbon, calcium, etc.

# Effect of macronutrients -

  • Nitrogen causes cell division & is important constituent of plant proteins.
  • Potassium helps in opening/closing stomata & activation of enzymes.
  • Calcium regulates metabolic activities & cell membrane functioning.

◆ Micronutrients -

  • Nutrients which are required in very small amounts for plant growth & function are called macronutreints.
  • e.g. iron, boron, silicon, selenium, sodium, zinc, etc.

# Effect of micronutrients -

  • Iron is imp part of enzymes helping in their activation.
  • Copper & zinc are also part of various plant enzymes.
  • Manganese is involved in respiration & photosynthesis by plants.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
