Insectivorous plants are plants that eat insects. They do this because they grow in very poor quality soil, and bugs are nutritious. They use methods just as cunning as some animals.

Bladderworts live in wetlands and swamps. Their roots have little pouches with trigger hairs on them. If a bug swims by, they tough the trigger hair. Quicker than you can blink your eye, the pouch expands, sucking water and the bug inside. They digest the bug and reset the trap over the course of an hour.
