What are examples of sentences using simple past? How do you change the sentences into present progressive?

hey mate!! see below

simple past:

  1. I played at this playground
  2. she sang sweetly
  3. he drew the portrait
  4. mother prepared the cake.

in these sentences, -ed is the ending of some verbs, while there are changes in the verb itself while writing in past tense

now, the same sentences in present progressive tense:

  1. I am playing at this playground
  2. she is singing sweetly
  3. he is drawing the portrait
  4. mother is preparing the cake.

note, that in simple past, verbs describe an event which already happened. in present progressive tense, verbs are shown in a form such that they indicate that the action is in progression, that is, the action is happening right now, at that moment

hope this helps!! ☺❤✌ thanks for asking!!
