what are features of yellow soil?

Yellow or red soil indicates the presence of oxidized ferric iron oxides. Dark brown or black color in soil indicates that the soil has a high organic matter content. Wet soil will appear darker than dry soil. However, the presence of water also affects soil color by affecting the oxidation rate.
1) colour of these are generally brown and yellow. red colour is due to percentage of iron contest 
2) they consists of loose gravels and highly course materials.. 
3) these soils can be cultivated with the use of fertilisers....

• yellow are formed by average conditions of air and moisture iron, it is found in Western Ghats Orissa and Chhattisgarh these can be cultivated by the use of fertilizers
