light ray incident upon a reflective surface will be reflected at an angle equal to the incident angle. Both angles are typically measured with respect to the normal to the surface. This law of reflection can be derived from Fermat's principle.

Laws of reflection:-

1st law:-The incident ray, the reflected ray,and the normal at the point of incidence lie on the same plane.

2nd law:- The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
