Finite Verbs:-

The words that are affected by the number of subject are known as finite verbs.

Example:-

  • Mohit writes a letter.

They are affected by the person of the subject.

Example:-

  • I write a letter.

They are also affected by the tense included in the sentence.

Example:-

  • Riya dives into the pool.

Non-finite verbs:-

They are not affected by number of subjects are known as non-finite verbs.

TYPES OF NON-FINITE VERBS

1) Infinitive

Infinite verb is:

It is never the main verb in the sentence.
