hey here is ur answer
we get most of our energy from fossil fuels like petroleum coal etc
they were formed over a period of millions of years by the action of heat and pressure on the remains of dead plants and animals

Fossil fuels are the dead bodies and remains of plants and animals which are buried under the land for hundred of millions of years.
These remains on passing the time under high pressure and heat gets converted into fossil fuels.

Thats why it is said that we should use them substantially, coz it takes billions of years to form and there is danger on their existence in near future.

Some of the examples of fossil fuels are petroleum, coal, crude oil etc.
