fossil fuels are also called as natural gases that form from dead and decay matter which lays on the ground for centuries due to the weight put on it the matter gets degraded and forms as natural gases while some forms coal and lignite some can form petroleum or diesel this is due to reactions taking place in it you can also refer carbon and it's compounds for reactions.
we should not use more fossil fuels or waste them because they take very long years to form and if we go one using them then our future generations will face a shortage of fuels and the only way to conserve them is to evolve.. we have to find new mechanism that works with light or heat energy rather than burning fuels by this we can even stop polluting air
