Fossil fuels are fuels that are formed as a result of natural process such as anaerobic decomposition.

They are also derived from the buried bodies of dead organisms.

The constituents of fossil fuels are mainly carbon, petroleum, coal and natural gas.

Since they are depleting as resources day by day, and some of them are also volatile in nature, there is a growing concern over them.
