Some exhaustible natural resources like coal, petroleum and natural gas were formed from the dead remains of living organisms (fossils). So, these are all known as fossil fuels.

Heya !

=>> Fossil fuel are the major sources of energy today. Coal, petroleum and natural gas together constitute fossil fuels.

=>> They are called fossil fuels due to the fact that they were formed from dead remains of plants and animals that lived millions of years ago.

=>> These remains got buried under the earth's surface. This buried organic mass was then subjected to extremes of temperature and pressure over millions of years and thus got converted into coal, petroleum and natural gas that we use today us fuels .

=>> Without fossil fuels, we could not lead the kind of life we are leading today.

Hope it helps !!!
