what are fossils? what do they tell us about the process of evolution?

Fossils are the remains of plants and animals that have been preserved in sedimentary rocks. Fossils are generally rare.They are helpful in showing the gradual development of a particular organism.Eg:evolution of horses.

fossils are the things which are the living things at early years.when the living organisms like trees etc death takes place they buried in land which are later converted into fossils like crude oil, petrol, diesel
