Copper T is an Intra-Uterine Device (IUD). It generates copper ions within the uterus. Given the fact that copper ions are toxic to spermatozoa, it disables them to fertilise the ovum.. However, if, by any chance, a sperm achieves fertilisation, it inhibits the process of implantation in the uterus. Thus, Copper T is used to avoid pregnancy.
