take the blood from vena-cava(both superior and inferior)

pump it through the pulmonary artery to the lungs

after the lungs oxygenate the received blood, blood is sent to the heart through the pulmonary vein

the heart then pumps the oxygenated blood for the whole body through the aorta

Human heart consists of 4 different chambers to prevent intermixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood.
Right atrium (RA)
Right ventricle (RV)
Left atrium (LA)
Left ventricle (LV)
1. The deoxygenated blood from various parts of the body is collected and drained into RA by the superior and interior venacava when the atrium is expanded.
2. RA contracts and RV expands the blood flows into the ventricle through tricuspid valve.
3. RV contracts and the blood is pumped to the lungs through pulmonary artery.
4. The oxygenated blood from the lungs flows into the LA through pulmonary veins .
5. LA contracts and LV expands the blood flows into the ventricle through bicuspid valve or mitral valve.
6. LV contracts and the blood is pumped to all parts of the body through Aorta.
