11 fundamental duties are mentioned in our constitution In 2002 a new fundamental duty was added by 86th constitutional amendment that is 11th duty.All are given below:
1. to obey the constitution and respect both the national flag and national anthem.
2.to cherish the ideals of those who inspired national struggle for freedom.
3.to defend the country and do the national service when upon to do so.
4.to preserve and valve the rich heritage of composite cultures.
5.to protect sovereignty, unity and integrety of India.
6.to strengthen the feelings of brotherhood and reject those customs which were against the dignity of women.
7.to safeguard the public property and to avoid violence.
8.to save environment from pollution which includes forests, lakes, rivers and wild animals with full spirit.
9.to develop scientific attitude among the people of India.
10.to obtain excellence in field so that country obtains respectable position in the world.
11.It is the duty of every parent or guardian to provide educational opportunities to their children or wards up to the age group of 6to14( 86th constitutional amendment Bill, 2002).
