a thin, clear, virtually colourless acid fluid secreated by the stomach glands and promotes digestion.

Functions of Gastric Juice:-

1. Presence of HCL makes the juice antiseptic,killing almost all the germs entering with food.

2.Pepsinogens are converted to pepsins with the help of HCL and helps in protein digestion.
