Gene is the unit og genetics. Gene is transferred from one generation to the other generation via gamete. Also gene control the character of the next generation.

Gene are located on a fixed position of the chromosome which is called as locus or loci.

Jumping Genes :- Such genes have tendency to change the locus. It was discovered by McClintock.
