Geo stationary satellites:
A satellite which appears to be at fixed point at a definite height to an observer on earth is called geostationary or parking satellites.
Polar satellites:
Those are these satellites which revolve in polar orbits around earth. A polar orbit is that orbit whose angle of inclination with equitorial plane of earth is 90 degrees.PSLV satellites are polar satellites of India.

geostationary
it is a satellite that revolves around the earth in its equation plane with the same angular speed and in the same direction as the earth.earth rotate about its own axis . since it appears stationary to an observer on the earth.it is called as synchronous satellite.when the type of a satellite is used for communication purpose.it is called as communication satellite.
polar satellite
it is a satellite that revolves around the earth in it's polar orbit. as the earth rotates about in axis ,a polar satellite successively passes through different points on the earth surface hence scanning the entire earth.ex are spot, iers etc.
