Gases which trap the sunlight and heat and does not allow it to go back into atmosphere are called Greenhouse Gases.

EG. - CARBON-DIOXIDE, METHANE, WATER VAPOUR, NITROUS OXIDE, ETC.

. Gases like carbondioxide and methane are known as green house gases

. Like a green house , these gases allow only the passage of light onto the earth but escape of heat from earth

. Thus they result in increase of Earthś atmosphere
