They are subtypes of Phanerogams

Gymnosperm : Gymno means naked and sperms means seeds. They are the trees which have seeds without covering.

Angiosperm : Angio means covered and sperms means seeds. They are trees with covering of fruit on seeds.

Angiosperms are further divided into MONOCOTS AND DICOTS.
(ACCORDING TO DIVISION OF SEED INTO A SINGLE AND TWO PARTS)
