Some boundaries are meant to be broken. For example, stereotypical boundaries must be broken. But there are some boundaries that are required. These are healthy boundaries. For example, how much you should be affected by an insult. At what point should you stop listening to others' lies and hate filled words? These boundaries must not be crossed. If you get too affected or too little affected by an event, it is unhealthy. It may lead to several disorders and other stuff. These healthy boundaries help us to stay happy and self confident. They keep our emotions in check. My counselor always tells me, God has given us two ears. One to listen from and the other to filter out negative words. Our negative and depressing thoughts must also have a boundary. It is important to set limits for certain things and to break limits for certain things.
