the fact that the Earth is spherical in shape results in different parts of getting heated differently based on the received heat from the sun.Earth is divided into three heat zones they are :

  • torrid zone:

it is the region between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn .The region receives the direct vertical rays of the sun for almost for the whole year there for this zone gets maximum heat from the sun.

does Ozone is also known as torrid zone and torrid zone.

  • temperate zone:

this zone lies between Tropic of Cancer and Arctic circle in the Northern hemisphere and between the Tropic of Capricorn and Arctic circle in the southern hemisphere .this zone get slanting rays of thesun as the angle of the sun rays decreases towards the pole .

Thus this zone experiences moderate climate...

  • frigid zone:

this zone lies between the Arctic Circle and the north pole and between the Antarctic circle and the South Pole the sun is also known as polar region . Since it receives the extreme slanting rays from the Sun ,the temperature is almost low all the time all over the year . and that's why the polar regions are covered with ice ...

hope u mark this as brainlest answer.....
