in heterogeneous mixture the composition is not uniform throughout and sometimes the different components can be observed...
ex.: Mixture of salt and sugar, sand and water...etc.

gas into gas = same
solid into solid = same
but
liquid into solid = hetrogenous
soid into gas = hetrogenous
