Hi user!!!!
A heterotroph is any living organism that obtains its energy from carbohydrates and other organic material. In simpler terms, heterotrophs are organisms that cannot produce their own food, therefore they eat other organisms that CAN produce their ownfood. All animals and most bacteria and fungi are heterotrophic.
Hope it helps u!!!!
