Homologous structures are organs of organisms which are different in external structure but are similar in anatomy i.e internally. This difference is because if the different situations in which each organism live they gave evidence for Darwin's theory.

Let’s know first what homologous structure is.

Homologous structures are organs or skeletal elements of animals and organisms, which have some similarities like hands of human and wings of birds.

These structures may not look the same or may not have the same function.  But these skeletons show some basic similarity, which suggest their connection to a common ancestor.  

This is their secret of evolution.
